Didn't go here for a long time but sorry now as the food is the best we've had in a long time. The service is fast, friendly, and helpful. The prices are good too. I don’t eat salt so when I go out food taste salty most of the time but not here. The flavors were wonderful. The food came liked we ordered it. I give this place 5 stars and recommend it. It is very clean inside too.
I live in Alturas and go as often as possible! I have always enjoyed it. The food arrives promptly, so a stop would be feasible while driving though!
I live near Portland, OR. This food is so good, it is worth the 500 mile drive just for the the hot sour soup. The polite and friendly waitress said that "The Old Man" made my soup. Hot sour soup is made fresh for each order. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often. Come and visit Alturas, CA. and have some Chinese food.
They have General Tso's chicken. Really good, I liked it. The 'wife' liked the her plate also. The 'tea' is what it's supposed to be, soothing. I like the people that run the place.
I'm a local business owner here and I order take-out 2 to 3 times a week when I'm busy. The food is excellent and is always ready in about 10 minutes or so after I call in my order. The atmosphere is light and airy, unlike the other place which is dark and 'old'. It's very clean, the service is good and any food I've ever had there is very good. Never a complaint from me. I've seen it go through several owners and some in the past were not that good, but now, in 2010 it's very good. Probably the best restaurant overall in this little cow town.
