I live about one hour north of Alturas. Two days ago my husband and I decided to go for a drive. My husband surprised by going to Antonio's (didn't think he even had been there before). The hospitality was great, the owner was engaging...and inserted himself when I ordered a glass of merlot for my meal. From the galley he yelled, "No, no, no. You do not want merlot!" He proceeded to give me a wine tasting of the merlot I ordered and his pick. Let's just say, he was right! His choice was amazing. The food was perfect (al dente') and yummy. I had the linguine alfredo and my husband had the beef ravioli marina. The dinner salads were super delicious too. Our server recommended the lemon marscipone with berries and a fab filling for dessert. It was dense and moist and incredible!...almost needed to smoke a cig afterwards. Definately going back ASAP.
An excellent little Italian place with friendly service and generous portions. I had the rib eye steak which was excellent. They were clearly doing a strong business, and there is no better endorsement for a restaurant than to be busy.
Great food and the service is the best. Only thing I don't like is that they don't make Calzones.
We were visiting our son and his wife a while ago. When we asked where they wanted to go out and eat --- they both said ANTONIO'S together!!! I know why after eating there! The food was delicious, the waiters and waitresses were attentive and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. I recommend it to all who want good food & value!
Antonio's is the best place in town. The staff is gracious and the owner gives back to the community and really seems to care about our business. I send hundreds of out of town guests there and never get complaints back.
