Denny's
Reviews
Normally, my wife and I have a great time at Denny's but the service we just had was terrible. Upon walking in, we were seated once the hostess (actually just a waiter) noticed us. We both ordered water and the waiter tried to up-sale us to bottled water. We declined and picked our meals. I ordered a Slam-Burger, and my wife the bourbon chicken skillet. After waiting about half an hour, the waiter checked on us, but offered to explanation for the delay. After another half hour, our food finally arrived, just as we were discussing walking out. My burger was good, but I felt they didn't give me enough fries. My wife's dish had egg shells in it. Which was very odd, as her dish didn't even have eggs in it. We saw the waiter take someone else's order back on her way to our table. After managing to wave the waiter down, we sent my wife's order back, but decided to have it taken off the bill, rather than wait another hour for a new skillet. We got our check and went to the front of the store to pay. Naturally, there was no cashier. A few waiters walked by, until one finally stopped to ring us up. She asked if we wanted to tip and became belligerent when I declined. Last I checked, not getting your food, or an explanation for why it took so long to get your order is not grounds for a 15% tip. Would have appreciated being warned before we ordered that the kitchen was behind.
food was cold felt rushed worst Denny's ever. Waitress at registrar talking about how people threw up in restaurant the night before in front of customers
My family and I first ate here shortly after they opened about 3 years ago. We were extremely displeased with the service when our waitress placed a hot cup of syrup in front of our 6 month old. After our daughter grabbed it and luckily was not seriously burnt, our waitress hardly apologized and was extremely confrontational when we tipped her the bare minimum. We returned again today to give the restaurant another chance and our opinion remains the same. When we walked in we were seen and ignored for minutes before someone came to seat us, without so much as a "hi how are you?". Our waiter was nice. My wife ordered blueberry pancakes and halfway through eating them found green peppers. Needless to say even though an offer to remake them was made, her appetite was lost. I strongly urge the management at this store to train their employees in the art of customer service and ensure that these mistakes aren't continuously made. We will not be returning nor will we recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely horrible. They messed up two orders from my table and one order from the table next to mine . The manager does not know what he's doing. I may have gotten food poisoning from there. I was not throwing up, but I felt intensely sick to my stomach. I would never eat there again in a million years. I wouldn't even send my worst enemy there. The week before the manager did not charge me for any extra items on the kids meal or their drinks on Tuesday when kids eat free. But that next week he charged us for each item that was extra for the kids' meals and for the drinks. If I had known they were going to do that, the kids would not have gotten the specialty drinks or an extra item on their kids meals. When I tried to explain this to the manager, it was like I was speaking a foreign language. Or he was just playing dumb so he wouldn't have to give me my money back. I want to slander this establishment in so many different ways and with so many different words. But I am NOT because I want you to see this for the truth that it is and not just somebody that's mad getting back at Denny's
We just moved out to San Tan Valley and are glad we found a 24/7 restaurant. Especially this one, food was excellent, arrived very quickly, our waitress was on top of getting us refills and making sure we were absolutely happy, left a very well deserved tip :)
