Reyes Mexican Restaurant
Reviews
Older tourists from Dallas, first time in the area, driving from Eureka Springs, headed down to Little Rock ~ and we had been looking for some time for a likely lunch spot. Had passed through several little towns without luck and was about to give up on Clinton when we spotted the billboard for Reyes Restaurant ahead. Liked the look of the place and were instantly charmed by the welcome from the friendly little family dog as we drove up into our parking spot. Owner Reyes Medina greeted us warmly at the door and it only got better while we were there. For Texans, trying "Mexican food" anyplace out of state can be pretty much a guaranteed disappointment ~ but not this time! Yes, it was different (not like home), but everything brought to the table was a genuine delight. Besides, if you are insisting that everything to be just like at home, why leave in the first place, right? Anyway, if you find yourself in the area and it is time to stop for a bite, do yourself a favor and look up Reyes and Maricela's little place! It isn't 'cute' or 'fancy', but it is absolutely genuine ~ and definitely worth your while (even if you're from Texas).
Most would not go here based on external appearances. The food is great (has more flavor than the average Mexican restaurant) and the service is extremely good. The owners are onsite and prepare the food. Still not Tex-Mex but I really enjoy going here.
Never had a bad meal, service is excellent. Reasonable pricing. Ask about their special salsas!
