El Rey Burrito Lounge
Reviews
Atleast once a week, my wife and I make a trip here. Usually, we leave our name and number with the host\hostess and make our way back to Le Roy's for a few pre-dinner drinks. Typically after a beer or two the host gives us a call to let us know a table is ready. We have never had a bad night here, and the ones that could have gone bad were saved by good company and attitudes of the staff.
Overpriced bland food and crappy service.
Yummy...locally bought food that is amazingly prepared. Enormous portions of spicy deliciousness. I got the chicken platter and it had a ridiculous spread of items. Staff were cool and service was on point. Really funky ambiance and great outdoor seating. I don't agree with some other reviews about it being overpriced...maybe a dollar or so more an entree, but for huge portions of organic food it is more than worth it! Will definitely be back! UPDATE: I went to El Rey probably 15 times with no issue. But the last 2 times I got food there, the dishes were FAR substandard comapred to what I have gotten there before. The first time I got the maldito app it was delicious, roated jalepenos with melty yumminess inside. The next time the jalepenos were RAW and there was not cheese. They were not gross, but not yummy like before and the staff refused to compensate us. I have also had an excellent shrimp platter there before and the last time I went the shrimp were miniscule and overcooked. I don't know if I caught them on 2 consecutive bad days or if they changed chefs, but they def no longer deserve 5 stars! The last 2 visits deserve 2 stars, whereas the first 10 deserve 5 stars, so I have assigned 4 in an attempt to be fair!
Awesome burritos, great atmosphere, large beer menu, great service, nice part of town!!!
I love this place. Delicious food, vegan/vegetarian friendly, great atmosphere and vibe. Definitely check this place out!
