Struts of Jacksonville
Reviews
Struts has the best burgers in town, and I love their homemade beer-battered fries! While they specialize in burgers and wings, Struts has a something for just about everyone. The service can be hit-or-miss depending on the time of day and who's working, but no more so than any other casual dining restaurant. By the way, I wouldn't pay much attention to the reviews complaining about it being in a gas station. While they share the building, they're otherwise completely separate, and you'd never know entering from the restaurant parking lot that there's a gas station on the other side. (Besides, the Cockpit is a Jacksonville landmark.)
Nothing bad on the menu. Buffalo chicken salad, wrap, and shrimp basket are favs. Great fries.
YUMMY
The food was really good, especially the beer battered fries, but in my opinion too pricey for a restaurant that is half gas station. It's just kind of hard to impress some one on a date when pulling up to a gas station. Also, our service was beyond slow. Our lunch took over an hour, and we got there at 11. I will probably go back again to give them a second chance, but it's going to be a while.
As I said, good food cannot complain! The one thing I am mentioning is the Strut sauces they charge extra, other than that I like everything else! But I suppose they got to make extra money somehow, if it is not from the tips!
