Excellent and fresh! The best people work here serving up amazing salads and sandwiches. The Bama Blue with blue cheese and homemade blueberry vinaigrette topped with candied pecans is my favorite, and if I'm feeling naughty I'll pick up a couple of their yummy homemade cookies. This place along with Effina's are the healthiest and tastiest options in town!

The lunch food is AMAZING! The coffee is delicious but I pretty much only visit during lunch. They have excellent salads and sandwiches. I normally get a chai tea to go with my food and have a great experience. The staff is very friendly!

I went to get some coffee with my roommate at around 8:00 on a Wednesday and the barista left much to be desired. I ordered a pomegranate cremosa and my roommate got a iced soy latte. The cashier cheerfully asked if I would like whipped creamed and I was so excited about it I tipped her before the drinks even came out. But apparently that was all of the umpf she had left in her because it took a ridiculously long time for her AND her coworker to pump out two drinks. One of which included a grand total to three ingredients which basically needed to get poured over ice...into a cup. The lackluster duo didn't have much to say at all. They were both mumble-y enough to be taken as rude and I kindly removed my dollar from the tip jar shortly after the drinks came out. In addition to their obvious lack of veal, they were lacking in the determination department as well. Although it might have been too much effort to find a cold drink cup...so a hot cup, complete with hot sleeve was sufficient...for a cold drink. Total lack of ambiance. Vast, weirdly large spaces with no visual interest whatsoever made me feel like I was in a department store... Drinks were pretty standard. Although they did have one up as they made the cremosa with club soda instead of soda water. All in all... it wasn't worth the drive. And Starbucks baristas smile more.

Java Jolt is a fantastic coffee shop, that offers fuel with a JOLT! From fantastic breakfast pastries to gourmet sandwiches for lunch, Java Jolt boasts a large variety of food items for fuel, as well as any flavor and espresso combination you can think of for your morning JOLT! My personal favorites are a Toasted Marshmellow latte or a Dirty Chai latte (a chai with added shots of espresso), and the Tuscan Chicken Sandwich is to die for! With a friendly staff who genuinely care about the quality of your entire experience, Java Jolt really is a highlight of Jacksonville. It is one of the smiles of Jacksonville that I hope to see still standing for years to come!
