The food was disappointing and dull, service was too sloppy (not enough knives on the table, no plates with the opening dishes and more), the seats had stains we saw a few bugs flying over our heads.. Not recommended.

TOURIST TRAP: I am a resident of Amsterdam that stopped in on a whim to &Samhoud's STREET FOOD restaurant while in the area. First of all, the online menu was not accurate (i.e. 4 burgers, one dim sum, one fish special, and an oyster option whereas the online menu displayed a multitude of sandwiches). Regarding the concept, I am not sure of a culture where wagyu beef burgers constitute "street food," but maybe it just went over my head. Prices were greatly inflated (4.50 EUR for a cappuccino, avg. price in AMS is 2-3 EUR by my experiecne). 20 EUR for a "wagyu" burger - we ordered the Mexican burger with jalapenos and guacamole: we did not notice a single jalapeno; the burger was the size of a McDonald's patty in a tortilla about 5 times the size. For anyone that knows burgers, bun-to-beef ratio is a key component, and they failed miserably. The homemade mayo tasted how "frite saus" should; the homemade ketchup tasted like a sugary tomato paste (neither taste nor consistency were even close). About 15 french fries (i.e. not Belgian style) were the accompaniment (by the cut and taste they did not seem homemade; the menu did not claim they were either, but come on, 20 EUR and they can't cut and fry a few potatoes?). Overall it was very unsatisfying; a 15 minute walk south into the canal district or into the Jordaan and you can find much better food at a much better value. Do not waste your money: this restaurant is a poor attempt at "gastronomy" and an inauthentic representation of "international street food" by an out-of-touch corporation that is in great need of some self-awareness.

Burger was good, bit pricey for a "hotel" lounge experience, service was nice with very polite staff

Only ate at the bistro downstairs and it is truly excellent. Go for the bartender's daily choice of cocktail never failed to impress
