Awesome fish and chips - great value! Potato skins were amazing too. Love the ambiance. Very fun and relaxing and warm!!
Poor food and very poor service. Will NOT return. My husband and I used to eat here quite often and always enjoyed the food and service. We had lunch here today and it was very disappointing. Our daughters fries were undercooked, however she still ate them. My sweet potatoe fries were so undercooked I couldn't eat them. At the end of our meal our server did not ask how it was, so I spoke up to let her know that the fries were undercooked and mine were not even edible. She said she'd speak to the manager. She ended up taking $1.99 off the bill which was the extra charge to upgrade to sweet pot fries. I asked her if she thought that was reasonable, since I couldn't eat half my meal. She replied saying I am sorry I cant do anything, that's what my manager said to do, would you like me to go get her to take more off? At this point, I was so disgusted with the lack of service and awful food that I left and said don't worry about it. After paying $50 for "lunch", we will never go back to this place, or recommend it. If they would have rectified the bill fairly, I would consider going back and trying it again (We understand things happen, especially in the restaurant business) But it goes to show that they are more about the $ then the service. Sad.
I've been here once before and had an ok time but never really go there much . its a nice restaurant and rate off busy bayfield street . the food was good and staff friendly and such
Poor food, lackluster service. Took our two grandsons to Winooski's for one of their birthdays. Food was bland, too salty (fries), and over cooked. We were brought a birthday sundae (which we didn't ask for) and it appeared on our bill. This was our second and last time at Moose Winooski's. There is much better value out there.
10 years ago I would have given it 5* but even though the reno's look great, it's lost a certain appeal. Bring back the hiking boots, jean shorts and sloppy hefty servings. It's still good though
