disliked the chili mussels no sauce lucky to be a drop at least 10 closed mussels the open ones bland and small tasted like canned Heinz tomoto soup. barramundi at $36 a small dry piece not tasty at all, entree nice had the platter chicken mmm not so yum we should of stopped there , waitresses helpful & friendly though no one asked us how our meal was lucky ..first time and last time.will not be going again....
Went here a couple months back with the girls, lovely feel, enjoyed a nice meal and didn't have to wait long for our food, good on you guys! Keep up the good work :)
Had lunch here today, excellent service, friendly staff and awesome well presented and perfectly prepared meal (medium rare fillet mingnon). Surroundings are always nice, clean and well set out. Recommend the PK to anyone.
The PK Tav has always been a family friendly place to go for great food and mediocre service. It's local and suits most budgets, everyone knows it and in 10 years of living local I've never heard of one complaint - except that wait staff and bar staff are less than average... i.e.: nothing to write home about here!!!
Usually ate there every 2-3 weeks, however haven't been there for about 3-4 months, reason being children, adults bring their children and let scream and run free. Went there for my birthday on 10 May (no reservation) about 6.15pm and managed to get a 'quiet corner' for two - hmffff (Mothers day 2009), quiet my a$$, we were cornered by three highchairs. A quick scan of the restaurant and it was easily seen to be catering to more children than adults. Food as always was really good, it's just a shame about children. The tavern should cordon of a section to be a child free zone.
