It's a perfectly serviceable old school place to go for a meal that's served in a big old servery style. The new gaming machines make their noises in the background, the menu slanted towards the surrounding retired austerity years influence residents has offal and other ubiquitous items on it as well as the standard classics like sticky date pudding, fish and chips, steak and a variety of sauces., etc., I don't particularly like going there as it's a servery type place, and I prefer a restaurant type experience, but for the price (and the 2 serves for the price of one with the right shopper-docket) makes the London a very cheap and plentifully fed night out. I don't like it, but I recommend it for what it is.

We usually go to the London Tavern during the week. We liked the presentation on the plate of the Profiteroles they looked yummy. We then tried the Profiteroles and felt the choux pastry had not been cooked that day. So no matter what was inside them they tasted stale they should be cooked just prior to service. If they are there certainly is something wrong. The pasta and the Risotto we certainly be ordering again.
