My family and I eat at the Playford Tavern about 30 times a year and been doing so for as long as I can remember. We just got back from having lunch and I ordered the calamari and it was to salty to eat, The cook said it was nothing wrong with his cooking so there was nothing they could do. I paid for a meal and it was uneatable. The playford Tavern would not replace the meal and there was nothing I could do. I think that the cook should become a motor mechanic because used motor oil would taste better than anything he could cook. I am not happy and I will take this higher.
2011 - Have been here twice for a meal and it was a big let down. First time was abysmal but they upgraded and have a kids playground so we thought we'd go back. They also do kids eat free Monday but beware, not if you buy the specials. The kids meals were great so I was looking forward to my meal. I ordered steak, mash and vegetables with diane sauce on the side. I was served steak, chips and salad with no gravy. After questioning him he went to get me vegetables and gravy. He came back 10 minutes later, my steak was cold, the gravy I was served was cold, the mash was out of a packet and while warm on the outside, stone cold on the inside. I asked for my money back, we didn't stay for the kids icecream and left. Our meals also took at least 1 hour to arrive. There were only 2 adults and 2 kids. 2014 - went back recently, they have a new salad and veg bar which is ok, makes things a bit faster but they're still using pre made schnitzel and bland gravy.
Pretty standard fare. Friendly staff and good service. Kids club meals were good value.
the pub opened late and then had to wait another 20 mins for tab and keno to open ...... opening times change 3 times a week they have become a pokies only pub they open that up real early !! The food (snitz) had an odour to it and was un eatable real bad i wont be going back!! and will be telling everyone not to go!!
Went there for the first time for a birthday, we had about 20 people on my table. lets just say, i was still eating while the cake was being cut. VERY slow service, average food, over priced. First time there and my last.
