Saffrron Restaurant
Reviews
very expensive. the food was good but little bit smaller then I will love it to be. the service are not as good, they took long time to bring the food. you need to check the fin print on there offers. we went because of an offer in a voucher they have so many conditions that will end up cost more then what we expected
Amazing. Best indian in darwin. But a bit pricey
Very busy! That certainly must indicate it's popularity. The food was nice. My first option on the menu was unavailable, and due to a 'lost voice' all I can really do is point at the menu without many questions. I opted for something I've never tried in an Indian restaurant, the vegetarian cottage cheese and peas. The sauce was tasty, and they had a great vegetarian menu and it was hard to make a decision! My partner ordered his usual, Lamb Rogan Josh and enjoyed it. The naan bread was delicious but we asked for two servings and were obviously charged for it, though it seemed small. Worth a try if you're after nice Indian!
Saffron has to be the best Indian restaurant in the Darwin area. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious which allows you to try something different every time. It can seem a little costly at times, but for such a selection of food, and given that we have come away satisfied every time, it is well worth it. We have dined in on a few occasions and have found the wait staff to be very hospitable. The restaurant in nicely furnished though small and quickly at capacity on peak nights, so booking ahead is essential. Takeaway is just as easy with online ordering. Overall, a very high recommendation.
