Persephone Bakery
Reviews
Very cute, well designed space and the salted chocolate chip walnut cookies are the BEST! Their entrees are pretty incredible as well. I love the sweet-potato-brussel-sporut-hash with eggs and toast. The only down side is the tiny interior during winter. Persephone really is one of the best places to grab lunch/breakfast in Jackson.
it's hard to choose which i enjoyed more between the scones, croissants, sweet potato and brussel sprouts hash - they were all excellent! will highly recommend this place in the future.
Despite being an amazing bakery with homemade s'mores (even the graham crackers are homemade) that are the best item on the menu, Persephone still seems to be somewhat of a social scene. Picture a string of pearls, lime green polo with a popped collar under a pink Polo sweater. The outdoor seating section is sublime in the summer and a great place to both watch people and sip that delicious coffee with your s'more. Located right in the heart of town, this joint is full of both locals and tourists, which speaks to its staying power in the low seasons.
I lived in France for 15 years and Persephone is as good or better than my local French "Boulangeries". The quality of Persephone's baked goods is unparalleled in Jackson. Persephone imports their butter from France which it incorporates into their delicious products. The "Pain au Levain" is the only bread I serve to my family. US bread found in the grocery store is awful. I am so happy to have Persephone as my local bakery!!! Bravo et Merci Persephone!
you don't want to miss persephone's! it's an overall divine experience, especially in the summer when you can sit on the deck.
