My first visit to West Virginia and being a northeast yankee, West Virginia lived up to my expectations and more. Unfortunately, I was not there in Fayatesville for the well known white water rafting that the town is known for. We did hit this little gem Pies & Pints. The restaurant is located in a quaint town and the outside is simple with it's decor with a painted black brick wall and a white elephant balancing on a ball. There is both outdoor/indoor seating with a playground (that adults can go on too!). There was a 25 minute wait with 5 of us and we easily found 4 seats at the bar to pass time as we waited. I got a local craft pale ale, light crisp, lingering hoppy taste. We then got seating outside at a picnic table, too cute. We order 2 large pizzas - full grape and 1/2 chicken gouda and 1/2 steak and mozzarella. Too die for - huge servings but with enough for 4 slices left over to go home with. I finished my pizza with a Rogue Mom rose petal ale. $8 for 22 oz bottle. The total bill $100. Definitely was not let down with the ecelctic pizza selections and craft brews, in the humble town.

This place has to be good if a day's events are planned around it. We are in the Charleston area more frequently than Fayetteville, but each location is just excellent. Fayetteville less stressful, same great food. People have to make it a point to stop here. GREAT pizza.

Wow. I'm SO glad this place advertised with a highway sign on Rt. 19, otherwise we never would have found it. We were looking for a quick/easy stop off 19 and really didn't want to end up at Shoneys or Taco Bell. We saw the sign for this locally owned spot and were amazed by the quality of the food and spectacular service. The clientele was a mix-- babyboomer ladies out together, families with little kids, 30-something couples having beers among friends. This was the first gluten free pie I've ever had that didn't start as a frozen 10inch crust-- needless to say it was delicious. Any time I'm ever in the area I will absolutely stop here.
