Haha not kid friendly. That bar is not kid friendly! The derby is a cool spot for cold beer and quick food. Trivia on Thursdays.
I have traveled all over and gone to many different bar and grills, but nothing can compare to my awful experience that I had at the Derby Bar and Grill last night. I was there for a total of ten minutes only to pick someone else up that was to intoxicated to drive and in that ten minutes, a gentleman that worked there and was at the bar off the clock, was soon after I got there screaming profanity at me and talking to me, that under no circumstance should any woman be talked to. I do not need to quote word for word what the man said, I am sure you can guess. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and since this is how they run there business, chances are they will not be in business for long, if not I am sure they will be sued for harassment of some kind in the very near future. No male should ever threaten a woman s life, and I am sure this isn t the first time since the attack on me happened almost immediately after walking in the door.
The Derby is not kid friendly. The management team is rude and uncaring. If you are not a "regular" don't expect good service or a welcoming attitude. If you want a smoke filled hole in the wall with terrible service go to the Derby, if not then Fairmont has much better bars with better food, service, and atmosphere. Avoid.
