Hands down one of my favorite places in Charleston, and may be my favorite bookstore ever. They have a wonderful selection of books, and I enjoy their staff picks and art section as well. The people who work there are nice and helpful. The shop itself has a hip ambiance and is located on Capitol Street which one of WV's most historic and eclectic areas with great restaurants such as Pies and Pints, Aldelphia, and Ellen's Ice Cream. They have a coffee shop which also now serves their own beer, and the piano player and brunch on Sunday are a nice touch. I would definitely recommend anyone to stop by and support this amazing local business!
Did a book signing there in July and was thrilled with the space, the gallery and the staff. Excellent latte, and the baked goods were very fresh and tasty. Hidden gem in the middle of Charleston.
Hip little book store supporting West Virginia local authors, artists, and coffee! They have book readings and workshops on occasion and I hope the bohemian appeal keeps this place open because book stores seem to be in trouble these days with other reading options becoming much cheaper :/ The writing scratched on the bathroom wall is a little more clever than the average...
Atmosphere is great, albeit sometime snotty baristas. Drinks are great pastry somewhat dry. Check out the local art in the gallery inside.
A wonderful place to get tons of WV-centric books. A great little coffee shop that (while sometimes pricey) is always top quality. Very bohemian kinda place.
