Who would expect such great Japanese food in a small town like Mineral Point. But like all of Mineral Point, it's awesome! Miso Ramen with the best noodles and just an amazing blend of rich and subtle flavors. Much of the food has a bit of a kick to it, so if you are sensitive to spicy foods, mention that and ask them to notch the hot back a bit. But oh so good! Can be busy on peak hours during the summer season, so try to go early or a little later to help spread out their dinner rush!
I lived in Japan for many years as a child and one thing I could never find was a good, authentic bowl of Japanese noodles, until Kusaka. Nostalgia in a bowl! Friendly owners, very reasonable prices, and great food. Thank you and see you again soon.
Excellent food. We were visiting and had dinner there one evening. We were surprised to find a place this good and authentic in Mineral Point of all places. Nothing like it in the Milwaukee area.
Stumbled across Kusaka purely by chance driving randomly around southern Wisconsin on a weekend holiday. I had the Salmon Fried Rice, Sue had the Don-buri, and shared Gyoza as well as Steam Buns too. It was all fantastic, and so unexpected. If you are in the area, please make the effort to stop by. It'll be well worth your time.
I go here as often as I can. I love it. The miso ramen is my favorite! A rich, hearty broth with homemade noodles... add a hard boiled egg and it's heaven in a bowl!
