Went to watch a Badger game while camping at Gov. Dodge. They advertised free pizza and some other food during the game, on their website and outside the bar. Once the game started the food disappeared but the waitress promised more pizza was coming out soon. So we ordered some apps, waiting for the pizza, which never came. When we went up to the bar to order more apps and ask where the pizza was, the waitress unapologetically said, "Kitchen's closed."
My family's been coming to Dodgeville for years now with the in-laws (who've been coming even longer) and we just stumbled upon Deno's 3 or 4 years back, but it's now a Dodgeville tradition for us! Really good diner style food and on the cheap! Seriously, I don't think there's an item on the menu that's more than 8 bucks. And the beer selection is fantastic, both bottle and tap! Indoor and outdoor seating.
Although the pizza is great, the appetizers are phenomenon. The chicken is juicy and the cheese curds are flavorful. This was my first time here and it was definitely worth stopping for.
First time here...... Big, fat, juicy $4 grilled chicken sandwich...... Awesome
