Carvetti's

I wouldn't go here with my family or for the food. This place gets trashy as the night goes on. I went here to eat with my family once. The service as well as the food was very poor. The only times I've been back are for bachelor parties or guys weekends and it wasn't my choice. Unless you're a young buck straight from college this isn't the place you're going to meet any nice ladies.
I have always had a good time at Carvetti's. Although I have never been for dinner, for a "go out" place, this place is nice. They have very reasonable drink prices and nice selection. (When I went they offered $6 moscow mules on Saturday). They also offer a dance floor inside, if thats your thing. But for for more mellow peeps like me, they have a wonderful multi-tier patio with two outside bars, and two nicely done firepits, that are all professionally done in stone brick. The music also plays outside, and they have a nice vine wall, the the lower paio overlooking the water walk. Overall a nice place if your looking to meet up with friends for a drink.
I had dinner here yesterday with my boyfriend and his family, and the experience was terrible. I'm a vegan (no meat/dairy) so I asked my waitress if I could have a salad minus the meat and the cheese. She rolled her eyes and informed me that there were "no modifications." We hemmed and hawed for a while, when finally the waitress agreed to ask the chef. I did get a salad, but it didn't amount to much. All I got was a plate of iceberg lettuce and red onion (with a hair in it, but I didn't say anything), even though the original salad I ordered contained olives, beans, peppers, and corn. Plus they charged us for the whole eleven dollar salad. Besides all of that, the restaurant was still really unpleasant. The waitress just loved rolling her eyes at everything, the food was super overpriced, the $10 paninis everyone else at my party got came with bags of potato chips instead of fries, and despite advertising soups and pastas in their storefront, there aren't any on the menu.
Had a horrible experience here. Came in for food, was told they don't serve food on week days anymore. Thought I'd stay for a bit since I stopped, bad choice on my part. Waitress, named Kat was rude (snippy about informing me about no food on weekdays) and kept rolling her eyes while I tried to place a drink order. While she was out, I kept over hearing her put down the other waitresses in a demeaning manner. The place looked like a very bad cross between a tiki lounge and a sports bar. I was recomended this place for the panini, but with service this crappy, why come back?
This bar was a really nice place to go. They had nice outdoor seating and a nice set up inside as well. However, it does not make up for their service. They have a really small bar area and you can tell that it's not enough room based off of the bartenders performance and attitude. One of them actually said to me when I walked up to the bar and was hesitant on what to get my friend and I "know what you want the next time you order". I thought to give her the benefit of the doubt until she said to my friend "come on, come on" as she was getting her money out to pay. Unacceptable.
