I drove up on a Saturday, called ahead to let them know I was coming while I was in the car. They got a very nice MXZ 600 sport (2-stoke) for me to ride, and two-up grand touring sled (4-stroke) for my girlfriend to ride. Both machines were gased up ready to go! We used them all day and into the night, returned them on Sunday morn and headed home (after a quick shower at the hotel.) The rental crew was informative and smooth. I think we were in & out of there in about 14 minutes. I only wish I was told one thing....We went into eat at one of the many places along the trails, and since the sled was not insured against theft, I brought the electronic ski-doo key thingy with me. When I put it back on and started the sled, the sled started and idled but would not go into gear.....well after a few minutes I realized that the key just needed rotated a few degrees and then the sled beeped at me and everything was fine. No big deal, but for a minute or two I was left scratching my head. IF it would have not started at all...I might have thought about the key, but it was running.....RRRRR All & all, I loved the experience. Thank you Track Side.

Just wanted to leave a review for the service department. I was up in Eagle River 2 weeks ago for our first snowmobile trip of the year and I made the mistake of putting 4 cycle oil in my 2 cycle snowmobile. Well I drove it over to their service department and asked if they could suck it out for me and fill it back up with the correct oil. When I walked in I was first inconvenienced by the fact that their service writer was shooting the breeze with some local guy and really didn't seem to care that I was standing there waiting. Then after a solid 5+ minutes of listening to these two guys just BS back and forth about nothing he finally asked what I needed. I told him what I did and he said " ouuuu I don't know we're pretty busy" I said "well it will only take a minute to do it and I will pay your minimum service charge of $42.50 + new oil if you can just get this fixed up for me" . So he walked in back to "see if anyone was available" and he came back out front was said they nobody was available right now but that he could try to squeeze me in tomorrow afternoon. I said no that's not gong to work and asked for an oil jug to have so I could try to figure this out myself. At least he gave me that. So I left and went and bought a suction pump from a auto-parts store and sucked it out myself. It literally took me less than 2 minutes to get the oil out of my sled once I had the pump. Instead I had to waste a bunch of more time to go find this pump and do it myself. I am a business owner too and the level of customer service that I got from them was completely unacceptable. I wasn't asking for an engine rebuild or something, just 5 minutes of their time. On a side note, just 15 minutes before this happened I bought a brand new ski-doo jacket and gloves for $260 from them and the sales girl was very helpful. Maybe the service writer should take some notes from her on how to interact with a customer?!

Rental snowmobile was in great/perfect condition. The trail goes through tracksides parking lot and there are two main hotels right by trackside (also on the trail). Optional insurance was $39/day/machine. Some of the trail signs even have arrows pointing to trackside- helpful if you don't know the trails well. Friday is charged as a weekend rate. Some of the gear is so-so (some is new too).
