Menu was way too big, the decor is stuck in 1970's and the food was not that good. When you walk in, there is no one there to greet you. You have walk through the bar to find the hostess stand. I would give this one star but the Prime Rib was really good. Everything I ordered was plain and not worth the price I paid.
This is hands down the best steak around. The eating environment is top notch and very comfortable as opposed to chaotic. If you like to sit back and enjoy your meal in a relaxing environment this is it. The food is also amazing, blows away everywhere else. I especially love their New York strip and Prime Rib.
A customer of mine chose this place for dinner. I live in Milwaukee so, that is my basis of comparison on most restaurants. Driving up to the builiding, I was un-impressed and even slightly concerned. Don't let the outside sway you, please walk inside!!! Immediately you will feel the warmth of an old time supper club. As other have said before me, the food was great the prices were great compared to Milwaukee prices and the service was very attentive. We have already talked about possibly hitting this place on the way home from a Packer Game. With the location just a 1/2 mile off of 441, it would be a great stop for dinner when we don't tailgate.
After walking out of another restaurant we decided to try The Red Ox. The decor and crowd seemed typical supper club. The menu had a huge selection with some seriously appetizing choices. Our server was professional, friendly, and proficient. The prices were in-line with what we expect from area supper clubs. When the food arrived we were blown away at the quality and taste of the food. This place by far exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be back, regularly.
