Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center

This was the most incredible experience for our family, amazing room, amazing staff Jonathan in particular did everything and more to make this one of the nicest family memories. The Restaurant is amazing, I have dined at fine dining establishments all over the country and this surpasses most of them. This is proof that great service and ambiance at an affordable price is not dead.

We didn't stay here, however, we ate here for a conference and the food was amazing. Tried the salmon, beef, and chicken and each tasted fantastic. The service was also good. I did enjoy the hotel also. I spent a little time looking around in the lobby and the history present in this building is incrediblem

The best continental breakfast I've ever had. Decent rates, and within walking distance of umpteen tasting rooms and wineries. A perfect hotel for a weekend getaway.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night. When we and checked in we were told our room was not ready. I had requested a early check in. The person on the phone told me she would request 12:30 and it should be ready by 1:00. It . was 2:00 when we arrived. The other person at the front desk said to check with house keeping. They said it would be another 15 minutes. The third person at the front rest said to give us another room that was ready.I asked how to get to our room. She said the room was across the lobby and through the double doors. We had to go back to the front desk for further instructions. It was very frustrating still trying to find the room. We finally did. The small flat screen TV on the wall did not show the full screen. The attention to detail and a feeling of being welcomed was non-existent. After arriving home, l looked up' this site to post this review and also found out that we were to receive a free breakfast. Surprise, surprise. Never again.

This place is awesome. Walla Walla is an oasis in the farm and ranch lands of Central Washington, maybe due to Whitman College and the history of being a crossroads. This hotel was built in 1928, funded by the collective efforts of the citizens of Walla Walla. The architecture, and restoration of, has an old world feel, but is still surrounded by rural areas and is influenced by that flavor. It's really a great example of how rural communities in the American West created spots for high society with an elegance usually thought of as being in larger cities. That and the close proximity to their burgeoning, still Wild West Victorian, downtown (which is not the case with many towns in the area) makes the whole thing an interesting historical trip. Thanks!
