Farrar's Bistro

ISo glad they brought back the bistro bowl! Only wish they had it as a dinner option now, it's so good! And their elder flower champagne drink was amazing! We usually eat in the bar and the service, frankly, sucks. I was a server for 5 years and can tell you I've watched as their servers gave better and preferential service to the customers who looked like they had more money or bigger parties. I've watched as bartenders ignored customers in order to basically hang out with their friends that came to visit. Their food is amazing but if it were my restaurant I would fire a good portion of the staff. Then hire staff that truly cared about each guest having an amazing dinner. There are servers who care about a guest's dining experience. And with caring that each guest has an amazing experience said guests will not only tip well (negating the need to give preferential service) but they will return more, usually giving big tips each time. Like I said the food's amazing, but they need new staff and new management to train the staff.
We eat here about once a week and have been coming here for a couple years. Food is always good. Menu changes periodically which is nice, however if there is something from a previous menu that you liked they will make it! Staff is very friendly. Just a great neighborhood place!
We discovered this place by accident after moving to salmon creek. Sure glad we did. Now we go about every other weekend.
We have been here several times. My favorite is the meatloaf. Very nice neighborhood restaurant. This is a must visit place for dinner and Happy Hour. Very nice place for a night out with dinner and drinks. Great customer service as well. All the servers and bartenders are very attentive and friendly.
Went for lunch. They were doing some remodeling and the place smelled like lacquer. Not very appetizing. My girlfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. I had the fish tacos and they were pathetic. Three little pieces of fish, some lettuce, and a a bland sauce. I was still hungry when we left...
