Spent 4 amazing hours at the Uncorked Wine Bar last night. Chef Michael and his sous chef Calvin have created a menu full of delicious options that pair nicely with the amazing wines. The perfect balance of gourmet delicacies and homecooked favorites. Fans of Chef Michael will recognize his unique mac-n-cheese recipe and the gruyere fondue in a sweet onion from the Veronica in North Bend, and his amazing creme brulee recipe from the Woodman Lodge. Try Calvin's soft shell crab, Michael's tuna tartare, and end the evening with the chocolate decadence or the chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream. For wine, I highly recommend the Blend-Baqueano from Padagonia - a 60% cabernet sauvignon and 40% malbec blend. The Chocovine from Holland is worth a taste - and the option of 3 oz pours makes it easy to try lots of the great wines at a reasonable price. Four of us enjoyed an array of food and 4 bottles of wine for about $125.

We often spend an evening eating through the menu, trying 3oz glasses of various wines. Great conversation, a relaxing time and always a fair price.
