Chimayo En El Dia
Reviews
Only open for lunch. At night, it becomes an Italian restaurant. Veggie burrito was good. Nachos were big. Pretty big selection of ginger beer
Bizarre location, down a zig zagging carpeted hallway. But outdoor area is ok, and food is big and cheap(er than Bilbo's).
Great fresh MEXICAN food.
Truly and absolutely awful...totally unhelpful staff...dirty dishes, tippy tables, asked for salsa..told to get Tabasco from another table, asked for utensils, told to get them myself..."patio" overlooked a dirt parking lot and two gentlemen working on a broken down motorcycle..."quesadillas" from hell.. Questionable if actually any real cheese in the quesadilla...probably microwaved...anemic looking iceberg generic lettuce with an unknown white glop as " dressing"...took my visiting sister on her first visit to Orcas Island, needless to say, she was not thrilled with the culinary delights presented by this "restaurant"...I cannot fathom how this establishment remains open...they must rely on unsuspecting victims such as ourselves...I seem to be only able to rate this the minimum of 1 star... If there were negative ratings, I would gladly give it a -10...enter at your own risk...life is too short to suffer such epicurean abuse...
As the Seattle Weekly said, the Pasta was a "show-stopper." Amazing find on Orcas. Not easy to find but worth the hunt.
