The food here is always good; just unfancy home cooking (only better, because I'm not cooking) and served in a timely manner, even when the place is busy (which is often). 99% of the waitresses are friendly and efficient. GREAT home made corned beef hash (my personal favorite). Breakfasts are especially hearty, and the dinner rolls with cornmeal coating are wonderful.
Jimmy D's is NOT like any chain restaurant and that is a good thing. Its a laid back, comfortable place that will NOT look down on you if you go in for lunch still dirty from work. They will treat you friendly and server you a great Big tasty meal.
The food is ALWAYS hot and great tasting. Staff is awesome. We go there at least twice a month. The food always taste like mom made it. Not frozen food here.

The prime rib was outstanding as always. But the price has gone up and the portions have decreased :o(( Not the same cook as always on Friday so maybe that's the difference. Also, I don't like the celery salad and I miss the wonderful corn they used to serve with the prime rib.
