Blue Moon Cafe

Well prepared seasonal ingredients. Light well balanced flavors. Elegant but casual. Warm service.
I hired Blue Moon Entertainment for my daughter's wedding last June, and I am hiring them again for a party I'm having for my employees this summer. I had a lot of details to be worked out for the dog and pony show that my daughter had to have for her wedding. I spent a lot of money for a lot of different things, and not only was Blue Moon one of the least expensive of the details to worry about, it happened to be the best thing about the entire day. He helped us all by being a confident host, being sensitive to our needs without intruding. He set the tone, and kept the energy high with great music and hosting abilities. No matter what the detail, this guy will not only be up to the challenge, but will surprise you with his value as a master of ceremonies. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!
February menu is awesome! Every month when the menu changes I have to go in several times to try all the dishes that sound good. I'm never disappointed, they are really raising the bar. I started with a crab cake slider and then had venison shanks, finishing up with creme caramel with fresh figs. Delicious! The waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Food was well prepared and imaginative. Price reasonable. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Check this place out!
The Blue Moon Cafe in Stowe was a terribly disappointing dining experience. The food was sub-par and unacceptable for the price. The lobster in the lobster-stew was freezer burned, the greens were bitter and in-edible & they couldn't even remedy the bad meal with a decent desert. The chocolate cake was dry & the creme brulee was runny. This restaurant really needs to step it up if it wants to last among far superior restaurants in the area (Michael's On The Hill & Hen Of The Wood just to name our favorites...Hell, even The Shed's barn burger & a pint of their beer would've been more of a treat). The Blue Moon Cafe is simply trying to be something it isn't...What a shame!
