I happened to come across this gem of an eatery by accident while looking for a place for breakfast. It was a weekday and there was only one other person present. I started off with a cup of coffee. Turned out to be Green Mountain. One of my favorites. I ordered two eggs with house made sausage. Once I tasted this treat I knew right away that it had a touch of Vermont maple syrup in it. There was just the right amount of maple syrup as to not over power the taste of the ground sausage patty with a nice spicy flavor. The home fries were a nice compliment. I can't wait to go back and try lunch. Oh yes, Katy did stop by and said hello. All in all, a cozy restaurant with paintings and drawings from a local art school on the walls. Great food and great service.
Katy and Brad have opened a new restaurant in Putney VT. There is a wide variety of foods and desserts to choose from, with breakfast lunch and diner (unique to Putney) and take out. Desserts are fabulous! Seasonal foods are great, especially when local.
