I have visited and ordered from Vt country store every holiday for my out of state relatives. I enjoyed it but now this last experience has upset me. Too big too fast? This year I cant even explain all of the mistakes. Wrong order combined to wrong address. Wrong city and State using the zip code and address I provided. Items are still not all there while others are. I am trying to get in touch with yet another customer 4th service person. My daughter got warm bacon that the delivery person left at her apartment behind locked office doors. She called trying to ask if it was safe after 4 days on the road and one inside the warm storage room. She hung up after 25 min on hold.At first I was told shipping was free then later was told it was per address not total order so it was readjusted to that increase. I stopped ordering after 4 family members because it was so difficult to manage the ordeal.I may have to dispute my credit card because so far though the store rep is sorry... no follow up. YIKES!
I LOVE this place! So many items you can't find anywhere else today. Just spectacular to visit any time of the year. Very special place to go to relax and just wander around the store. Just warms my heart to just think about it and will have to plan another visit soon.
Yes, everything seems a bit over-priced...but such is the case with every "country store" in Vermont! Still, our family visits many times each year, making it our year-round "pit stop" before we get on I-91. We treat the kids to a little bag of "penny" (ha!) candy, and my cheese-loving husband loves to explore the generous samples. I never leave without getting a small cup of dark-roast coffee (the rare bargain...$1!!). Also appreciated are the nostalgia toys and the clean restroom!
It was very magical and fun! However was a little over priced for the candy but not the moxie!
Lots of interesting stuff. Way overpriced.
