This used to be a great gun shop, but the latest couple times I made the mistake of driving up there, it was misery. The counter guys have become rude and stupid. I've bought numerous firearms there in the past and just prior to Christmas they refused me a sale. Simply because my son was going to hand me some cash? A straw purchase? Were they kidding? I'll never waste another trip, besides a newer shop in Spofford, NH are happy for your business and helpful.....
As someone who was not raised around guns and a first time gun buyer, I have gone into the Alstead gun shop with a lot of curiosity and a little hesitation. With that said they always had time to answer all of my annoying questions and entertain my curiosity while making me feel comfortable in an overwhelming and daunting situation. They have a great selection of firearms at fair prices and if they dont have it they will do their best to get it for you. Great little gem of Alstead. Thanks guys.
I stopped by the shop to ask some questions about in stock ammo. The two gentlemen working could not have been more helpful. They did not have any ammo I needed in stock. Purchased some shot gun shells. Again these guys are super friendly and are not your typical gun shop employees who know everything and continue to tell you how great they are and how stupid you must be. Great purchase will look to them in the future.
Real nice guys behind the counter and a nice selection of stuff. I found their prices to be the most reasonable in the area for the three or for guns I was looking at and they are a pleasure to deal with. It may be in the middle of nowhere but worth the trip.
A terrific crew that works hard to help as many customers as they can in a big shop. For those who post a bad review about these guys? I’ve watched a few come in Alstead over time with strange agendas and bad manners. The shop guys have tremendous knowledge and will take the time to help anyone at any level of experience. One thing I really like is that if a fresh item is not available from a distributor they will tell you and not make up some excuse for the manufacturer.
