Located in the tiny community of Wakefield, Virginia, on Hwy. 460 between Petersburg and Virginia Beach is Pino's Pizza and Italian Restaurant. Since Miguel Pedraza took over as owner/chef of Pino's we've not had anything less than superb there. I can't recommend any one particular dish because everything I've tried there (and I've tried a lot) has been amazing! His house salad dressing is so wonderful I can honestly eat it with a spoon...and have a time or two. While the cuisine is mostly Italian, there's plenty of fare for lovers of American and even a taste of Mexican. The prices are reasonable, the portions are more than generous, the beer is cold, and the service is friendly. Anyone traveling highway 460 between Petersburg and Virginia Beach should do themselves a favor and stop in for a delicious meal in this quaint, friendly establishment.
Great place to eat! Very good food and great service! I try to eat there each time I am working in Wakefield.
We live in Smithfield Virginia and we found Pinos Pizza about 5 years ago while driving through Wakefield. Pinos Pizza is the BEST PIZZA around if you love authenic New York Style Pizza.
Pino's Pizza may not be very promising looking. Don't let that fool you. It's small, dark, and decorated like it's still the 1970's. It's so hole-in-the-wall it has holes in the walls. But Pino's is one of the better pizza places in the Hampton Roads area. If you like real, NYC style Neopolitan pizza and you don't want to over-pay, stop off at Pino's for a pie. We fed our family of five two pizzas and drinks for less than $40. It was literally one of the best pizzas I've had since leaving NJ.
Since being bought out by the owner of Guissepees in Waverly, the food and pizza here is great. outstanding chicken marsala
