I have only stopped here for their bar area and pool tables. Great selection of beers and the staff is always very attentive. You must try their burgers. There is plenty of parking but it can seen a bit hidden off of Harry Byrd Highway since you can only enter from Pallisades P.arkway.
This bar has a photo of someone in blackface at their bar. This has been addressed MANY times and they refuse to remove it or refer to it as anything other than "humor." Their management is socially ignorant, insensitive, and racist, and clearly does not care about turning away potential customers by promoting this racist crap, and their service is garbage.
I cannot believe a place of business would permanently affix a photo of a man IN BLACKFACE to their bar. I spoke with management who were largely unresponsive (but ripping up the bar is out of their scope I'd imagine.) Whoever is running their Facebook page needs help because not only have they REFUSED to apologize, they initially said that the photo in question "is funny." They continue to justify this Halloween photo as "ART" and that we (the 30 or so people commenting on one of the many posts regarding this pic) need to not take it so serious. Disrespectful, patronizing, and tone-deaf.
They have a blackface photo on the bar that they won't take down. Here is their Facebook response aka their official position: "Why is it from a Halloween party past circa when Buckwheat was repopularized on SNL should they not be allowed to act out. There is no malice inteded. It is just funny." You have lost my business.
People are complaining too much. This place is great, relaxing and fairly priced for the quality. The food is delicious, and drinks as well. Every visit I've had, I've been treated well by the employees. I'd recommend this restaurant, by far to many friends and family.
