I recently took my mother to The Bistro for her 92nd B'day. The whole staff was very welcoming and the food was outstanding. Our waitress was the best. She had a great personality and everything she did and said was in response to us and not the usual customer chatter. The menu had a great selection and variety with something to please everyone. Good to very good food, adequet service. But they basically stole from me. After giving my server my credit card she returned, having run it after addding in a 25% tip and this was based on the total with tax. She told me since I used an AMEX card it automatically adds 25% of the grand total with tax but I could lower it to 20%. She insisted I had to give her at least 20% if I used an AMEX card. So she gave me back in cash the difference between 20 & 25% of the total with tax. There was nothing on the menu or the bill that said anything about this nor was I informed about this nor were they willing to cancel the transaction. So basically, a bunch of theives.
Loved the bread! Great food and service. Relaxing fun and friendly.
I've always found the food to be delicious, and the prices very reasonable. I've never had poor service here.
Awesome little place. Great drinks, atmosphere and food.
