This is a home cooking type restaurant. The food is comfort for the mind and soul. The fried chicken and mashed potatoes out of this world. If your in Gretna's Virginia don't miss this southern treasure.
June 19, 2014 we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Gretna, Va. They recommended C & E's Restaurant. If you want great southern cooking this is the place to go. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place was clean. The food was excellent and the Lemon Cake and Sweet Potato pie was excellent. C&E's is on our list of places to stop and eat when traveling through the area. $7.99 all you can eat buffet. Great deal. Must try the lemon custard pie.
