Satay Sarinah Restaurant
Reviews
Wow. Probably the best asian food I've ever had. The chicken satay was better than some of the satay I had while traveling Asia. I also had the Beef rendang and it was so satisfying. It had the perfect amount of heat and the flavor was impressive. I'll definitely be back!
Awesome food and the waitress is so friendly! Great way to try a wide variety of Indonesian cuisine for a moderate price!
So much for 'authentic' indonesian restaurant, the rice and potatoes was close to being served raw. It tastes nothing like indonesian food i tried, and trust me on this, i have tried lots of indonesian food. For service, my girlfriend ordered some food in indonesian and she doesnt even get what she meant, the server was terrible, she only come to ask us something when we raise our hands for 5 mins straight, the food was terrible... I cant believe i traveled 45 mins for this food. Also, chicken satay was dried, and the peanut sauce taste more like burnt soy sauce... The noodle was too salty i need 5 glasses of water to maintain and stabilizes my dinner conversation. Overall awful, not recommended. If u would like to eat real indonesian food, please dont waste ur gas to come to this place
I've been to Bali and KL in Indonesia for cuisine. Food at this place was tasty (though I cannot say healthy!). Friendly and courteous staff. Nice interior, with decor definitely from the country just enough so it's tasteful and not overbearing. Alcohol was a little to pricey given the location.
I came back, near closing, and had the worst meal I've had here – or just about anywhere. Everything was off, they didn't get my beer order, they didn't take off charges for food they brought out because our server couldn't understand or even remember who ordered what. Even the noodles were just mediocre. The peanut sauce is different. It's a disgrace to the old Satay. It was a nightmare of indigestion, too. Everyone had enough TUMS that night to color a chalkboard? Did I mention I had been desperately hungry and for Satay Sarinah for months? Or that I had company? I wound up 'accidentally' throwing out the leftovers, to applause. Now I look like an idiot in front of very important clients and some dear friends for... Inflicting this on them. What's worst, a dinner that ought to have been maybe $50 2 years ago was double that now, and for half stuff we never ordered. I hope it was a seriously off night in the kitchen, something is different there and I despise it.
