Blue Mountain Brewery

First the bad: Service is incredibly slow and sparse. Don't think you'll pop in for lunch and a brew on your way through and spend less than 2 hours doing it. It was busy, but not full when we pulled in on Sunday afternoon. Seated right away, but then it took awhile to have our order taken. After that the food took over 30 minutes to arrive and the waitress came by only 3 times during our extended visit. Now the redeeming: Amazing food. If I lived nearby I would frequently endure the wait for their bratwurst, every piece of that meal was perfect. The beer is good too.

If you like beer, paired with good food, Blue Mountain is the place to go. This was my third visit and I'll be stopping in again. My only disappointment on this visit was they didn't have Dark Hollows stout on draft. I would have given 5 stars but for that.I had been looking forward to it for a month. If you can eat outside the view is fantastic and adds to the experience.

I was committed to hating this place after I tried some disappointing beers on my first visit. However, after stopping here on a recent beer tour I had a change of heart. They had an almost entirely new beer menu, and the ones I tried were great. LOVE the Wallonia. They also had a beer brewed with Kombucha that was very interesting. Our group of 10 was seated outside in a heated tent, which was actually very comfortable, and we received great service. Didn't try any food but my mouth was watering over a couple items brought to the table next to us.

Absolutely the worst brewery I've ever been to of dozens. Started off waiting over an hour to be sat, only to end up outside with a yard full of smelly, barking dogs. Our server was VERY slow about every thing she did and possessed very little knowledge of the product she was serving. After another 45 minute wait to place our order, the flights of beer we ordered were rapidly approaching the temperature of piss and the food was ICE cold, as if it sat for some time before delivery. After 2 hours and the first bite of my mushroom cheese burger that was nothing shy of a McDonalds burger and cost $15.00, I was finished. Absolutely disgusted. When I informed our server that I wasn't happy with my order she was almost snobbish to me and I had to remind her twice to take it off my bill because I refused to pay for the food. Then, she took my growler to be filled and that also took her another 20 minutes to do and it too came back warm. All this and my bill was over $100 for some hot beer, cold food and corresponding service. I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to go to this place. Totally ruined the end of an amazing weekend. It's only a shame that my trip was so horrible that I wouldn't even go back to see if they could redeem them selves.

Just do not DO IT. My wife and I decided to try the beer sampler since we had never been there before and all of the brews were horrible. We ended up drinking coke. We have passed the brewery on many occasions and thought we would try it. This was the worst restaurant we have ever been to, not because of the service but because of the food. The server was kind enough and removed the Bratwurst dinner from our bill. My wife didn't care for the Cuban press either but we didn't mention that. Never Again!!!
