Firehouse Pizzaria

My husband and I eat here very often. The food is really good, but the service is lacking. Because of this, we always call in our order for take out. As repeat customers with a lot of orders from this company, we do not get very good service - even when calling in. We are told when to pick up our order (which is the same every time) and even then, our food is sometimes undercooked, prepared wrong, not ready for another 10 minutes and we have to wait inside, and they never remember to give us our drinks without us asking for them. It is really uncomfortable and awkward as a customer to remind someone that you ordered a lunch special, which includes a drink after they already say, "Thanks for coming in." Or that your oder is wrong. It seems like the people over the phone don't ever know how to lead a conversation smoothly. To me it is really unprofessional the way they communicate and handle business. The only reason I still go is the food. But even then, I am completely fed up and unsatisfied as of lately. There are a few employees who seem to know what they're doing, but many of them need more training in customer service. When picking up orders, there are many times I am passed by employees as I wait at the counter without a word being said to me. Even being there for a few minutes without a hello, or we will be right with you, or any acknowledgment is poor service to me. I would not recommend the Smithfield location.
The $20 large pizza was equivalent to a $6 Domino's pizza in size and taste. Very very meh. Also there's no alcohol in the Smithfield location, so skip it unless you're the boring sober type.
Love the pizza here! We hit this place every time we're up here.
The pizza is okay and if you are in Logan it is one of your better options. Pizza on the west coast has come a long way in the last 5 years and unfortunately the Firehouse has not kept up. I could forgive if they were not so bloody sure they made the best pizza around. My husband and son love their ice cream & cookie dessert - I typically only get a bite or two before it disappears.
