My family and I flew our plane into Tyler Co airport which is about 2 miles from the restaurant. We called the Pickett House and they came and picked us up. The chicken (and everything else) was great. The people are super friendly. Definitely worth the trip!
We go to Woodville very Seldom but when we do we always try to make it Around Lunch Time, Great Food and Great Service and a price you can not beat any where

This is a really great place to eat if you like chicken and dumplins, fried chicken and all the fixins. That is all they have to eat and it is seriously good, served buffet style at your indoor picnic table...sounds a little out of the ordinary but it is so yummy you might go into a food coma afterwards! The Museum is really cool too and well worth the drive if you are not a local. Check It Out!
Served family style. Includes t and dessert. Also child and senior discounts. People fly in just to eat here. Love it.
