Now they are located in a truck after moving from location down the road. I dont get excited about eating out of a temp setup food gets cold build something permanent.
Everyone in the great state of Texas knows that good bbq is required to run a successful BBQ business. I don’t know how ROS then is still in business. I stopped in for some authentic Texas style bbq only to be fairly disappointed. The staff was friendly, the service was good, and my food came out pretty quick. I had the basics....ribs and brisket. I immediately noticed, without taking a bite, that my 2 meat choices looked very dry. Presentation? BLAHH. A quick bite confirmed my suspicion. The brisket lacked flavor and my pork ribs tasted just like an HEB precooked ham. I consider myself pretty good at grading BBQ. I am 90% sure that my ribs and brisket were frozen before my coming into the restaurant. Definitely not hot off the grill. Their website boasts several rewards for desert and chicken fried steak but their sign clearly says BBQ on it. Lets focus on the BBQ Ro. Come on man. On top of my other disappointments my ticket came out at 22 bucks for 6 ribs and 5 slices of brisket with 2 sides and a tea. I would easily pay this for delicious bbq but not for mediocre. Unfortunately Ro....I will not be back my friend. Good luck.
