The Palms Resort
Reviews

My family and I ate at The Palms for dinner this past week. We were lucky and made it just before a rush of people arrived for dinner, so we did not have to wait for a table which is usually the case. We all ordered salads with seared ahi tuna. The tuna was delicious and cooked perfectly. The Palms is a consistently good, casual place located on a quiet part of the island that makes eating dinner by the water very enjoyable. We also love their cocktails!

During our recent trip to South Padre Island, we ate lunch one day at the Palms restaurant on the beach. We ate there last time we visited the island and it was wonderful. This time it was TERRIBLE. First of all, our server was rude he kept slamming our drinks down on the table. He slammed my ice tea down so hard that the lemon fell out, and he didn't even apologize for it. My husband ordered the muffaletta sandwich, my daughter the cheese quesadilla and I the boca burger and fries. My husband enjoyed his meal but my daughter didn't want to finish her quesadilla because she said the cheese tasted "sour" My boca burger was disgusting. The bun was soggy, the avocado slices were not ripe enough and gave the whole burger a bad taste. Plus when I asked for the mustard, the waiter slammed down a bottle of mustard that was all crusty and gross at the opening. I wouldn't even use it. We will not be returning to the Palms during our next visit to SPI.

Best beachfront restaurant on the island. Possibly best restaurant on the island. It's tiny and a little pricey but amazing drinks and happy hour too.

Good food and great view.. What else do you need when you're in SPI..

Our most favorite place on the island to eat and have a cocktail. We also have our guests from up north stay there. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
