Wake the Dead is an established San Marcos culture haven. I have heard beautiful poetry, transcendental melodies, whispers from figures in captivating paintings and, of course, the most invigorating and intelligent conversations. The coffee is exquisite, perhaps the best in town. Jumping Mouse ftw! and lastly, but not leastly, the staff are always on point: helpful, kind, responsive.
I wouldn't say it's the best coffee place in town. They're fairly over priced for what they are serving. I think you are paying for the atmosphere when you go here. I enjoyed studying in the garden, but never bought more than my usual Chai.
Staff amazing, menu items amazing, San Marcos free minded culture melting pot hub, you must go when here. Great place to relax, study, talk with a stranger.
