You have to wait a long time to get only slightly above average food. It is unfortunate that there are not more places to get a good breakfast in Salado. One thing I will say, the people seem very nice there, and they try their best to serve you. That means something to me.
*edit: as I left, the lady who can use the espresso machine came in and I was given a complimentary latte. That was very nice. Very hit-or-miss. I have visited four times, and two times out of four I have not been able to order a latte as the (only?) employee able to use the espresso machine was not in. The food is good. When the waitress who operates the espresso machine is in, it's a pleasant experience. Otherwise, a little odd.
Not a bad little place to eat. I had the Chicken Fried Steak Plate. It was good, not the greatest but I didn't leave anything left on the plate. Staff was nice and welcoming.
I am always satisfied and delighted with the fajita chicken quesadilla! It is AWESOME!!!
I ordered the chicken fried steak sammich, with the baked potato salad for my side. This was the worst chicken fried steak I've ever tasted. Something was really off with their seasoning, and there was quite a bit of fat involved. Sonic makes a much better one, at the few Sonics that still make this sammich. The baked potato salad was just like traditional potato salad, but with sour cream instead of mayo. I like sour cream, but this was too much. I think a bit of mayo would help it out. And if you think there was any cheese in this salad, think again. Just potatoes, sour cream and a teensy helping of bacon bits. I couldn't even get halfway through this atrocity of a meal. I ended up down the street at Ambrosia Tea Room and had a much better sammich, with an excellent soup, to boot.
