I agree the food is your typical east Texas bland tex-mex, not unlike a frozen TV dinner. The salsa is more like can tomatoes with a little spice. Whatever the green sauce is sorta like water with no taste . The guacamole is a welcome delight to the otherwise bland whatever the other foods are served. Great price on the " Rita's" My problem is the poor service. Seems all the waitstaff was having their meal at a large table. They seemed inconvenience with my presence. The TV on a country western music channel---- really I don't care to have my children watching the scenes with some cowboy in bed with his bra and panties girl friend.

Best FOOD in town
We absolutely LOVE El Mante in Onalaska! There is always great service and the food is outstanding (I'm a green sauce fanatic)!! This is our favorite restaurant for Mexican food. They have the best sweet tea too! If you've been eyeing this place, but have so far shied away because it looks like a hole in the wall, just go inside and give it a chance! It's actually relaxing, compared to larger restaurants (Papacitos) where they just want you gone ASAP to seat the next people. My only gripe is that they close at 9; there's been many a time we've wanted to eat there but were too late :)
