Cafe Barron's

Food was really great. We had the spinach artichoke dip and just loved it and it just kept getting better when we actually received our meal. For the main course we had the amazing lobster ravioli and their Viel. Lobster ravioli with the cream sauce was great we saved the leftover sauce for bread the next day. The Veil Had great flavor however the it was a little tough (reminded me more of a sliced thin steak rather than veil). Server was pretty good as well. My only real peeve is that my wife and I stood in front of the location looking for a way in and didn't recognize that we had to walk through a closed store till we saw a small sheet of paper on the store's door. The food and atmosphere were great. My only problem really is for a first time person, if I didn't already have a reservation I may have left just because there is no clear entrance to the restaurant.
Popped in here for a double espresso in off peak hours 3-4PM. The barista was an employee pulled from the bookstore side of the store. Wound up asking the employee if I could show them myself since the manager hadn't trained them. Got my espresso but they seriously need to learn how to calibrate their machine.
I've been here a couple times and had their cocoa (ridiculously awesome big mug - puts Starbucks and even many home cocoas to shame in flavor and topping). The Creme Brulee was also masterful, like a crispy candy shell around a pudding mountain, filling the air with thoughts of campfire marshmallows. The only negative thing I can say about Barron's is they need to list their hours on the website and/or Google Maps. They do have scaled back hours (Saturday sometime - 2:30p, then 5:00p to 9:00p). I've tried to go a few times when they were closed and it was rather disappointing. Please publish your hours so your customers can visit more easily. Thanks and keep up the good work ;)
Hot and crunchy chicken is amazing! Friendly and timely service! Desserts are not your everyday pie or cake. Very inventive!
Great service, great food.
