The food was absolutely wonderful. I had the Carnitas. It came with rice, beans, salad and the most delicious whole wheat fry bread you ever put in your mouth. There are also big bottles of honey on every table. The Carnitas was made from fresh cut potatoes, seasoned ground beef, Pablanos and three knds of cheese. My wife had a dish made from squash, zucchinni, seasoned ground beef and cheeses. The cafe is in an old house built around 1920 and she has the cleanest kitchen you've ever seen. She has owned and ran the cafe for 15 years and worked for the previous owner for 13 years. It's like stepping back in time. Really great and worth the trip.
We almost missed this place on the way into town, but I am sure glad that we didn't! The most amazing atmosphere coupled with great company! We entered as patrons and left as friends! The icing on the cake was that the food was wonderful and the navajo bread with honey was to die for.
Going to Lola's is a unique experience and the food is authentic and good.
