Tarbouch Lebanese Grill & Hkh
Reviews
Tarbouch is a nice little spot on Oltorf that offers some decent kebabs and shawarma food. They do offer a pretty interesting kafta (ground beef with spices) burger option that I wish I had chosen on my visit. I settled with their lamb kebab wrap which I felt was more pita bread than anything else. The lamb chunks were not proportionally balanced with the large pita wrap, nor were the hummus and vegetables within the wrap now that I think about it. I gave their baklava a try and found the filo pastry soggy and its buttery flavor overshadowed by the sweet filling. I washed the baklava's sweetness down with their hot Lebanese tea which came with fresh mint upon request. So all in all, the food was decent, but nothing that would make me crave another visit besides from the novelty of their kafta burger.
i havent been back in a while but the food here is good. their chicken tarbouch is really great and the fattouch salad is top notch, sadly on my last few visits the service rubbed me the wrong way, but i might return to see if thats changed.
The Fattoush salad here is amazing, along with the gyro plate, and shawarma platters. To date, I've never had a bad meal off the menu here and the service solid as well. Lunch can get a bit busy, but I've never had for any extended amount of time.
I totally dig this spot. Recently moving the 78704, I was trying to find a nearby Mediterranean cuisine spot, and this has become my go-to. It's not high end, but it's just right. You know how if you go to a good Mexican restaurant and you can just tell they made the guacamole right there in the back? That's the way I feel about Tarbouch's Baba Ghannouj. It's tasty, still chunky, and doesn't seem fake. The portions are legit, too. Every order is at least one meal for me. I specifically recommend the lamb kabobs, but I've yet to have a bad meal here. The inside is nothing exceptional, but I get my orders to go anyway.
Small Lebanese place with a menu containing all the usual suspects. Falafel and a gyro I choose tonight with the very popular beer called Lonestar. To me the food was ok not great. Glad I checked it out.
