Outback Steakhouse
Reviews
The absolute worse meal I have had in recent memory. The server was horrible, the food was like leather and greasy. I always thought that I could count on a good meal at any Outback... guess those days are gone. I will not be going back to this location again.
I arrived at 4 PM on 5/25/2013, with friends sat at the bar to drink and eat. The female bartender was more interested in herself than anyone else, and on many occasions jumped into the midst of our conversations and was interruptive. To put it mildly, she was in our face, arrogant, and rude. We really don't care that much that the bartender has a PhD, we came to outback to enjoy ourselves and good service. Unfortunately that was not the case. Every other bartender I've had here is great. I went back the next day and spoke to a manager, he said he was new there. The rating was raised from terrible to good because of the other bartenders, the manager could have easily raised it further but choose not to.
Food was fast and hot. Good service and clean
This is the only mid-class corporate chain in oak ridge that I will go in anymore. The food is hit and miss, but if it is awful just tell the manager and they will work with you. The prices are reasonable for the portions as well, and they understand what medium-rare means. When it is good though it is great! They will make custom orders unlike the Ruby's or Apple's, like having the wedge salad with Ahi Tuna rather than filet, it is delicious. I have had some of the best waiters here, although most of the waitresses are annoying airheads. The hostesses are usually unprofessional and uppity but they have a pretty high turnover so it's always a new one; which means a fresh surprise when you tell them you won't sit by the screaming child when there are other booths available. If you are a customer that is willing to demand good service you will have a good experience.
Good food, but server brought fresh bread out and then picked up the bread with her hand and placed on our table. Never eating there again!
