Sweet Celebrations

The french dip was the best I have ever had anywhere! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff are nice and friendly. I decided to indulge with a dessert after the sandwich....WOW You can really taste and tell the difference with food where someone poured their heart into making it. Amazing! I just wish Sweet Celebrations was closer...I would be there every day! Kate
My wife and I were lucky enough to have Sweet Celebrations provide the desserts and a beautiful 3-tier cake for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier with the results. Alex, the baker, is a very talented young man and was able to far exceed our expectations even despite our 'off-menu' requests for the cakes, while the owners, Cherise and Eddie, were a delight to deal with. Now that the wedding is done, we keep going back for lunch and sweet treats. Our favorite sandwiches are the Reuben and the famous 'Gobbler', but they often have some very creative specials that are always good, too. A lovely little spot with friendly people, delicious food and great prices. We haven't found anywhere else in the Knoxville area that we like half so much!
I have tried this bakery/café three times in hopes of a better experience. The lobster bisque was sans lobster bits and in a serving size fit for a toddler. Next I tried a sandwich that was nondescript and lacking flavor. Finally I went the sweet route and tried an éclair and raspberry butter cookie. The éclair tasted old and was dry with a watery custard filling. The cookie had no taste of butter and the hard icing left an unpleasant taste on the pallet. Perhaps a new chef/pastry maker is in order. I love the location, ambiance and friendly service.
I would not recommend every ordering a cake from here! Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else!
SO happy to find this little gem in Maryville, TN. My husband and I shared almost everything on the menu during our one week stay in town. We savored every bite of the French Dip Sandwich, The Chicken Artichoke Sandwich, The Reuben, and even the Pimento Cheese Sandwich!. WE loved the creamy lobster bisque, and the crunchy kettle-style potato chips too. We took a Sweet Tray assortment home for the Holidays. The baker selected Hello Dollies, Cream Cheese Brownies, Lemon Bars, Derby Bars, and Gingerbread men for us. Our friends and family all loved the sweets and promise to stop by the restaurant when they head up to the Smokies! Thanks so much and Happy New Year-you all made us feel right at home.
