Ruby Tuesday

If I could give this a "no star" rating I would. My daughter and I attempted to take my husband there today for fathers day. Here are SOME of the problems we faced. 1. Waitress did not know the menu. My husband ordered a beer and an entree which she insisted they did not serve until we pointed it out on the menu. 2. Our drinks were refilled ONCE in the two hours we sat there without food. 3. The salad bar was out of croutons. We asked the hostess to get some more. She responded that it "would be a while" but that she would bring them to our table. 20 minutes later, no croutons. Walked back up to the salad bar where the hostess had totally forgot to bring them and told us "oh they're over there" pointing back to the almost empty AGAIN crouton bowl. 4. After 1.5 hours our food came out and not one order was right. Wrong sides, wrong entree, wrong everything. 5. Another waitress came to apologize for our original waitress "not understanding our order." 6. We decided to walk out and asked for the check for our appetizer and drinks. Waited 20 minutes before we finally walked out and my husband went to speak to the manger who had the NERVE to initially ignore him and did not apologize for any of our complaints. I understand the small town, slow paced lifestyle of Eastern Tennessee but bad service by waitresses, hostess and a terrible manager are NO excuse. Have some self respect even if you are the manager of a crappy chain restaurant and treat your guests courteously when they have had a horrible experience!!!
For a corporate chain its one of my favorites.
The service here is impeccable! The food is superb and if you ever have the opportunity to dine-in at this specific Ruby Tuesday restaurant, Sean is an absolute delight! P.S. The economy sucks, but be sure to tip your server his/her well-earned dues; waiters/waitresses do not make much & depend on YOU! Thanks!
I like how the "District Manager" begs me to come back for Monday Night Football but forgets my name and also forgets to bring part of my meal. I have been there multiple times and it has been okay. But, I don't like being forced fed their Monday Night Football program by a "manager" who is on her phone the entire time, mind you, who cares more about bringing more people to their restaurant, than making my meal correct. By the way, it took 10 - 20 minutes after finishing a drink at the bar for them to serve me another one. Thank you for paying attention to me, especially since there were, well, 1 other person at the bar, that 1 other person was me. By the way, the part they forgot was my side salad and my biscuits.
The service here is amazing. I don't go to chains for gourmet dining - I go to have a safe and tasty experience. If at all possible, ask for Connie - the absolute best waitress I have ever had regardless of restaurant. First time in my life I ever gave a 100% tip.
